Continuing a tradition of over 40 years of Waldorf education in Southern Oregon, the Siskiyou School is a thriving community of learners with 185 students in grades K-8, 140 families, and a staff of 25. We strive to prepare our children to meet the world with an open mind, a caring heart, confidence in their own gifts, and a strong academic foundation. We are proud of our record of success in accomplishing these core goals.
Since 2006, the school is a well-established, highly respected educational presence in the Rogue Valley. Our reputation derives directly from the notable success of our 300 plus graduates and the enthusiastic appreciation of our current and alumni Siskiyou School parents for the education their children have received at the Siskiyou School. We are know in the community for our innovative Waldorf program, our strong academics in all disciplines, and the central place we accord social-emotional learning, the arts and play within our curriculum.
As a private Waldorf school, the Siskiyou School is not required to administer standardized testing or tailor its program to the core standards set by the state. That said, we work diligently to ensure that every child experiences success academically and is well supported emotionally and socially. Our faculty uses a variety of methods to assess student needs and support their progress. Our objective is to nurture the potential, creativity, and imagination of every student and awaken in them a love of learning.
