Gregory Beech, Blue Heron Class Teacher, 7th Grade
Gregory Beech is honored to be the class teacher of the Blue Heron Class, having previously taught the Honeybee Class from 4th grade to their graduation in 2020, and the Dragonfly Class that graduated in 2024.
He began his Waldorf teaching career in 2003 in his home state of Minnesota at City of Lakes Waldorf School where he served as a Class Teacher, Chair of the College of Teachers, and on the Board of Trustees. He then taught History and directed Commedia del’ Arte at Tara Performing Arts High School in Boulder, Colorado. He recently taught 2nd and 3rd grade at FolkSoul Farm in Talent, and also taught Woodwork and mentored new teachers. Mr. Beech has an MFA in Acting from Rutgers University, a BA from the University of Minnesota Morris with majors in English and Theatre Arts, and he received his Waldorf Teacher Training at Arcturus Rudolf Steiner Institute in Chicago.
Mr. Beech is the very proud father of four and an avid outdoorsman who enjoys sports. He is a musician, playwright, carpenter, and visual artist, and he is happy to call Ashland home.
